Senior Network Engineer

Summary of Job Profile:

Role of Senior Network Engineer is to work full time across Pakistan, to support assist planning, design and implementation of an infrastructure that will support current needs and future expansion plans of integrating CISCO, Juniper and other products from Arwen’s product portfolio for Arwen’s clients across Pakistan.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in deployments across Pakistan. 

  • Responsible for creating HLD (High Level Design) and LLD (Low Level Design).

  • Responsible of opening and handling JTAC and Cisco TAC cases.

  • Also responsible for creating BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for both cisco and Juniper products on Cisco configuration and Juniper Configuration tool. 

  • Works with enterprise level architecture team to implement network configurations including subnet and VLAN implementation, VOIP telephony solutions, VPN tunneling, and wireless LAN implementation at various locations

  • Network Design, integration, optimization and migration.

  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting

  • Provide problem resolution following connectivity problems, outages, or performance degradations in the network.

  • Work with team members to identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues related to integration.

  • Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.

  • Any other task assigned by Management. 

  • To be available 24/7 on mobile phone/ onsite support.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job: 

Good understanding and practical experience with routing protocols & switching technologies.

Advanced knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology.

Must be able to work with end users, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines.

 

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required for the position: 

Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience. 

Qualification: Bachelors’ degree in Engineering.

Specific technical qualification/certification: JNCIA-JUNOS, JNCIS, JNCIP, CCNA,CCNP,CCIE

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern – Network Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in network engineering and want to gain practical experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an Intern – Network Engineer, you will work closely with the Network Engineering team to assist with various tasks related to network design, implementation, and management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of network solutions to support business needs.

  • Configure and troubleshoot network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that network infrastructure is aligned with business objectives.

  • Assist in the development of network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.

  • Participate in network security audits and vulnerability assessments

  • Provide support to the Network Engineering team as needed

Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching
